Rich McCaffrey (P)

Cincinnati Reds:

Rich came to the Legends after redshirting at UC Santa Barbara due to injury and pitched 35 innings with a 2.80 ERA and 34 strikeouts. After only pitching 4 innings his sophomore year, the Legends took him back again in 2011 and he worked hard, throwing 51 innings, striking out 50, and boasting a 1.92 ERA. The Legends workload prepared him for a starting job at Santa Barbara City College, where he threw 86 innings in 2012. He was drafted by the Reds in the 34th round later that year and is currently playing professionally for an independent league team.
