2018 Advanced Skills (Hit, Pitch, Defense) Camps
- Our specialized camps are designed to provide middle and high school aged players with hands-on, intensive, and fast-paced instruction to help them take their games to the next level.
- These camps are designed for serious baseball players who want to improve their skills relating their specific position, with the goal of competing at the high-school level and beyond.
- Each position-specific camp (Hit, Pitch, Defense) lasts for 2 intensive hours each day, giving players unparalleled instruction and training in the small group environment needed to advance their skills.

LEGENDS HITTING CAMP: (Ages 12-15)
Utilizing our state of the art batting cage facility, combined with hands-on instruction from professional hitting coaches, hitters can expect to improve their swings while increasing their bat speed and exit velocity. Each day will begin with a 20-minute instruction session. Following the instruction session, campers will be placed into small groups, and they will then rotate through hitting circuits which address different parts of the swing. Coaches instruct on all aspects of building an efficient, powerful swing, including stance/setup, lower body rotation and sequencing, hand path, contact points, pitch recognition, approach and off-speed hitting. Campers can expect to get over 150 quality swings each day. The pace of this camp is quick and intensive, with very little standing around time. We have a ratio of 1 coach for every 4 participants.
LEGENDS DEFENSIVE CAMP: (Ages 12-15)
Open to CATCHERS, INFIELDERS, and OUTFIELDERS, the Defensive Camp is a 3-day clinic with detailed instruction on many of the most important aspects of defense. Utilizing the Legends Fungoman Automated Practice Machine, this camp will be intense, and your child will get tons of quality repetitions. This offering is for the serious baseball player who is driven to learn specific details of his position, in order to compete at the high school level and beyond.
LEGENDS PITCHING & GAMES CAMP: (Ages 12-15)
The Legends Pitching & Games Camp will focus on all aspects of being an effective pitcher. This includes proper warm up and arm maintenance routines, grips, wind-up mechanics, stretch mechanics, pick off moves, fielding your position, communicating with catchers and the mental game. We will aim to get the boys comfotable throwing many differtent types of pitches (changeup, two seam and four seam fastball, curveballs…) . Special emphasis will be given to reinforcing proper pitching and arm mechanices, arm care, stretching, and arm strength development are reinforced. The first day we will ease into things so that we do not have any sore arms. in order to teach the boys to compete on the mound, we will be placing them in fun, game-like scenarios, so they learn how to attack hitters. Ratio is 1 coach for every 6 pitchers.

Camp Cancellation / Rain Policy: If there is rain, or if you need to cancel for any other reason, you can switch to another camp session (pending availability) or can use registration credit towards summer camp or other Legends programs. There are no cash refunds for cancellations made after June 1st, only camp credit. There is a nonrefundable $50 administrative fee, per camp, for cancellations made prior to June 1st.
