Brent joined the Legends halfway through the 2012 season and pitched 2 innings, striking out 2 and recording a save in addition to going 4-15 at the plate. He struggled with injuries during his time at University of Nevada-Reno but his competitive nature and 97 mph fastball convinced the New York Mets to draft him in the 18th round in 2012.
