Over the last two weeks Menlo Park played in seven games following the playoffs and held an intrasquad scrimmage on Tuesday, July 30th after a no-show by the Sacramento Samurai. The Legacy wrapped up their season this past weekend in an away series against the Humboldt Crabs.

The team cruised to two wins against the South Bay Storm, first on July 24th 12-2 and then July 26th 13-3. The Legacy went on to face TKB Baseball on the 27th and 28th, where the team crushed another two wins 12-5 and 14-10. Finally, the series against Humboldt on August 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all went to the Crabs.

The Legacy had an outstanding summer with a roster full of talent. The team took first place in the Bay Area Collegiate League, made the playoffs, and had nine BACL Valley All-Stars. Several players walked away with new collegiate commitments.

The team chemistry was evident at the scrimmage. The players enjoyed flipping roles where the pitchers hit and the hitters pitched. At the end of the scrimmage, All-Star Coach Nick White said, “It’s been a blast. We came in as one of the most boring teams I’ve ever coached and turned into the most electric team. These guys really stepped up and enjoyed their summer.”

Many players will return to continue what this team has built in just their first season together. But for now, gear up to see these players on their college fields!
