The 2012 Legends summer roster will bost a number of returners from previous years

Grant Nelson (3B- Skyline/St. Louis) will be holding down the hot corner for the Legends. A junior college all state player, Grant (who now plays for a D1 out in St.Louis) has started every game for his team, is batting .308 and is leading his team in doubles with 11.

Tyger Pederson (OF/INF- University of Pacific) like 2011 will be filling many roles for the Legends. The leading hitter for the Legends in 2011, Tyger has started 20 games for U o P batting .270 while leading his team in walks and placing among his teams’ leaders in OBP.

Brian Haggett (1B – West Valley/Cal State Monterey Bay) will be manning the other corner infield position as the Legends 2012 first baseman. Batting .400 and receiving first team all league honors at West Valley as a sophomore Brian is now leading Cal State Monterey Bay in nearly every hitting category (49 hits, .355 avg, 3 HR’s and a .493 OBP)

Joe Goldenberg (OF – CSM, Univ of Hawaii) will be playing left and right field for the Legends in 2012. Attended Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah for one year and batted .391 with 10 homeruns. Coming off a hot 2011 season a CSM where he earned first team all league honors, and an ever hotter 2011 summer Joe received a scholarship to the University of Hawaii. Although Joe has only started 6 games for Hawaii we are excited to have him back and are confident he will be a tremendous part of our 2012 roster!

Pierson Jeremiah (2B – Canada JC, Chico State) will be getting the majority of the starts at 2B. Pierson, who was first team all league at Canada JC received a scholarship to Chico after a very successful 2011 season. Pierson, who often hit in the 3 hole for the Legends had 143 plate appearances and hit .314 with 8 doubles for the Legends in 2011.

Corey Zirbes (LHP – Canada JC, Sterling College) will be coming back for his 4 summer with the Legends! A staple for years in the Legends rotation Corey will be getting many big game starts for the Legends in 2012. Leading the team in 2011 with a 1.61 ERA and a .82 ERA in 2010 Corey is making a run at the Legends Hall of Fame!

Stay tuned and stay Legendary! More updates coming soon!
